Here it is, Monday again, and I still can't get my act together to actually do anything productive. Is there a cure for lazy? Cause I could certainly use it right about now. My weekend was completely uneventful. I am currently being held tight in the grasp of PMS, and this was never so evident as when I was watching a show called "Life's Little miracles" on the Health Channel. This is a show all about kids overcoming all sorts of serious diseases and other problems. On this particular show there was a boy who was receiving a kidney from his Dad, a little girl with a malfunctioning eye muscle which made her eyelid droop, and one girl who fell and hit her head on the jungle gym at school and had a bump on her forehead. Guess which one of the three had me welling up with tears? I bet you all think that it was the kid who was getting the kidney from Dad right? Nope, it was the girl who fell and hit her head on the jungle gym. She was just so spunky. She had no complaints as the nurse poked and prodded at her head, and she sat still as a mouse when she was getting her x-ray done. After they found out from the x-ray that she hadn't fractured her skull in her fall, they decided that they had better stitch up the cut on her forehead. All she needed was just one stitch, things were fine, it was just one stitch. But then the Doctor came with the needle for freezing the area, they were preparing her, telling her that it was going to hurt a little bit...you could see her face crumpling with the pain, but she was trying not to cry out. Then she had to, the pain was just too much. This was when I started to cry, for no real reason other than an excess of hormones were coursing through my body. Let's not even talk about what happened while I was watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Seriously thinking about crawling under my desk and going for a nap, a la George Costanza.
